When do the Awards start?

We hope to hold the awards annually. For now, we can't say an exact day. But, the awards will start in the middle of January every year.

Are the awards run by Wattpad HQ?

Nope. The awards are hosted by fellow Wattpad users like you. We are not associated with either Wattpad or the Wattys.

How do I enter my book?

When the awards start there will be a chapter dedicated to the forms in the official book of the awards. You'll be a participant when we accept your form.

Does my book have to be a completed one?

Nope. We accept both finished and unfinished books. But your book has to have at least 5 chapters. (excluding chapters like cast & author's notes)

How many books can I enter?

You can enter as many books as you like in as many categories as you want, but you can't enter the same book in two or more categories.

How are you going to select the winners?

First, our team of judges will judge your books and select 5 books from the accepted 20 books in each category. Then through a voting round the top 3 books will be selected as the winners.

How are we supposed to vote? Am I (the writer) allowed to vote?

You have to inline comment a '+1' beside the book you want to vote

Of course, the writers can vote! .

 Can I ask my readers to vote for me?

• Authors cannot exchange votes. ("I'll vote for you if you vote for me" is not allowed!)
• Authors cannot forcefully demand their readers or followers to vote for them (Be nice)
• Authors cannot reward users with monetary or physical giveaways in exchange for votes. (Appropriate rewards can include follows and reads but not votes. Vote trading is not allowed on Wattpad! )

How many times can we vote in the voting stage?

Voting is unlimited! You can vote as many times you like, even for the same book. There are no limits. 

Can I join the 'team of award hosts'?

Why not? You can join us by filling a form here.

*Pls note that only a certain number of people will be accepted to the team!

What if someone is cheating? How can I report it?

Depending on the details of the case, further action will be taken. Unless you want to be disqualified; don't cheat!
